  4. Signed up and post a dare on FB and Twitter - not sure anyone really reads my posts there, but it's worth a try! Now to get back to work - this social media thing is so time consuming - but such a hoot!

Happy New Year Denise - and I do believe you have a new calling - Travel Writer! Magazines are looking for that kind of writing all the time!

  10. Dang; the linky didn't auto-fill my info. I hope the link goes to my blog on the date. Uhm, my submission is kinda sad; eeek.

Well, I have a couple weeks to tweak it, but I doubt I can change the tone from sad to happy. Sorry. Its only about 500 words though, so who knows what I can edit it to be.

Uck, blogger break does not seem to be improving my writing skills . .

  11. LOL Yolanda; travel writer is not a new thing for Denise . I've loved her posts *ahem* when I get around to her travel blog. I don't read FB as often as I should, but its nice to see such posts when I do log on.

  16. I've deleted my name from the list - but will add it if I can get my act together. I dislocated my jaw and am on medications and waiting to see a surgeon. Sorry, life has a way of jumping up and hitting you right where it hurts the most! LOL

      Dear Yolanda,
Oh no! I bet that hurts!
      Wishing you a speedy recovery,

P.S.I had been feeling sorry for myself for having a stretched left shoulder muscle, making lifting things a pain. But what you have is so much worse. And I don't think that I'll be needing a surgeon.

    2. Oh Yolanda! That sounds painful Were you play fighting to gain authenticity for Sarah and Steve? Jokes aside, please heal quickly. You're too busy to be laid up!

    3. Thanks Anna, it was a horrible night but have finally figured out the medications - things should be better soon!

    4. Thanks Denise, I'm sitting her working on a piece for the challenge, but will not guarantee anything at this point. My mind is in a hazy drugged fog and nothing really makes sense - I'm taking forever just to read and comment.
Loved the joke by the way - reality is always important in writing! LOL

    5. Well after all that talk, it's done! LOL Sometimes I amaze myself, but I also won't swear to the readability - just saying - I'm not responsible for a mess when my head is a mess! LOL

    Dear Denise and other WEP-contributors,
    Mine's up!
Maybe it does not fit exactly in the mould as a new beginning; it's about a change of circumstances in one woman's life.
Actually this is a scene from a longer text that I am trying to write in my spare time.
Hope you all are healthy and happy!
    Best wishes,
    Anna

    1. Hey Anna. I've been by and read your story of the missing girl, but can't comment. I see from your widget that many people have been and viewed it from WEP. Perhaps you've turned comments off?

  20. Hi, I am here to apologise for not getting around to Michael's and some others'. I am having major net issues, possibly due to the 25th January anniversary etc, can't seem to load any graphics heavy pages. Very frustrating. I'll be back later.

  21. Hi folks
Sorry I missed last month. A new computer that is so sensitive it jumps around when I write is frustrating. I bought a mouse, his name is, well, mouse and it isn't jumping around any more. My old computer died, I lost all my stories, but fortunately I had emailed some of them to myself and others were on the old, old computer. Lots of frustration, coupled with the holidays and over doing just wore me out and I got sick. But I'm back and I'm looking forward to submitting in February.
    Nancy
