Dear Denise, I agree with Nilanjana, you dream up the darnest prompts! I can't wait to see what everybody does with this. I have no idea what I am going to write. I'm taking a risk here, that I will be able to do something presentable. But already I see at least seven different possible directions for this theme.
February 9th. 2014 Dear Denise, I have written a flash fiction story for "What's in a face?" When should I make it live? I wrote it early because I will be starting a course at the university next week. Best wishes, Anna
I've got mine drafted. It has some religious components that may be controversial though; I reference beings directly in conflict with the King James version of the Bible. There is a warning of this on the post.
I am expecting to post my excerpt on Friday Feb 14 - eek the most romantic day of the year - but my excerpt is in no way a romance. Sorry Denise, it just did not happen, although I had many romantic characters to write on.
I'm thrilled that you're posting Donna. Your entries are always a unique take on the theme. It looks like we're going back to the direct links, which is fine. The instant links were just for my lack of confidence that anyone would actually post! Can't wait to read your take on the prompt.
Can I please request that actual blog post be linked, instead of the author's blog ~ It would make it easier for me to read and find the blog post for this theme ~
Yes, Grace, we try to do that when we actually post, but post date isn't until the 14th, so not many of those who have their intention to post link up will have actually posted yet, including me, who will be posting on the 13th, Thursday. Those who post often wait and put up their direct link.
So to save yourself time, don't bother trying to read posts until the post date.
Also, watch the comments or the messages in the CBox in the right hand sidebar, where participants are supposed to leave a comment when they do post, once again, in the interests of saving time, but no matter how many times I ask, some choose not to let us know.
I see the message board now ~ I am not just used to the system of linking up later on as I write for different communities & I linked up my specific blog post ~ Will read later on then ~ Happy Hearts Day to everyone ~

Almost forgot to sign up. . .even though I've been working on something for the blogfest. Been having pc problems, but it won't affect blogging. You sent a reminder last month, but what reminded me this time was the WEP badge on someone else's blog! Looking forward to it, Denise.
My post is live now. My link is to it directly, Grace. :-) I published it a day early for those like you on the other side of my world. I look forward to reading as many of the other entries as I can, work and surgery preparations allowing.
Hi Denise, I have now added a direct link but can't delete the earlier sign up link, the option isn't loading on my side. Please ignore the first one, and if you can bin it then please help. Thanks much. Look forward to the reading. Happy VDay to those celebrating.
Whoa! First! :) Just wanted to say you dreamed up an insanely amazing prompt there!! Endless possibilities.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week, Denise.
Glad to hear you are inspired by the possibilities here, Nila. My head is spinning but I can't get a certain idea out of my head!

Thanks Anna. Yes, me too. I'll have to settle on my idea...I don't have seven though!
DeleteThank you for this interesting prompt Denise ~
ReplyDeleteThanks for signing up Grace. Don't forget to let us know when you publish to the prompt.

Also Grace, I have a list of participating bloggers in the sidebar here where you can see the latest posts. Just wait for the WEP post.

Glad to see you D.G. Can only send a reminder to those signed up. Most appear to be waiting to direct link this month.
